About the Event
Chuck Jones -DYI Filters February 15 Petal & Ponds
With a career spanning six decades, Chuck Jones is a pioneer in ornamental aquatics and koi culture. Beginning as an aquarist in 1965, he went on to found Wet Pets in Atlanta, becoming an early innovator in aquarium, pond, and filtration design—including being the first to apply germicidal UV light for algae control in ponds. By 1990, he was the largest importer of Japanese koi in the Eastern U.S., traveling to Japan for 17 years to hand-select fish, while also teaching, lecturing nationally, and publishing widely. His expertise was internationally recognized in 1999 when he became only the fourth American invited to judge the prestigious All-Japan Koi Show in Tokyo.
