What is a "Pond Tour"?

On a pond tour you become the guest of Atlanta area homeowners and businesses as you follow a map that guides you to amazing koi ponds and water gardens. Purchase maps that allow you to follow the tour at your own pace in your own car. This gives you time to talk with the pond owners, ask questions about their ponds, find out about their koi, and enjoy the day!

When is the 2011 Atlanta Pond Tour?

Saturday June 25, 2011. The tour starts at 9 am and the homes will close at 5 pm. There will be a reception from 5 pm - 6:30 pm. Light refreshments/hotdogs and hamburgers will be served. The cost is free to tour-goers.

How much does it cost?

Maps are $20 or $25 depending how you choose to receive your map. The price is per-carload, not per-person (so bring your friends!). The price is $20 if you download the map and print from home. The map is $25 if we print and mail it to you or, you purchase it on the tour day.

How can I purchase a map? Print the form below, and fill out the information. Choose how you would like to receive your tour map. Mail the completed form with a check made payable to the Atlanta Koi Club to:

You will receive confirmation by e-mail once we receive your check and your e-file or hard copy will be sent right away. Checks must be mailed by June 8 to receive a map by mail.

What if I am reading this after June 8? Maps will be available for purchase before the tour and the day of the tour at Splendor Koi & Pond, 1552 Rosewood Circle, Marietta GA, 30062, Phone: 770-321-FISH. The cost of maps will be $25 (cash only) when purchased from Splendor Koi.

Here's what to know before you go on the tour:

--dress for the weather as the tour is rain or shine

--please make sure you "take care of business" before you leave home. Bathrooms are not available at the tour homes.

--there will be restaurants along the tour where you can purchase lunch.

--no pets on the tour.

--children are certainly welcome, but must be supervised at all times for safety reasons as there are open areas of water.

--all ponds are not wheelchair accessible.

--Tour-goers assume all risks for injury or liability
